ND LEAD Program

Initiated by the Provost's office, the ND LEAD Program is dedicated to shaping the next generation of academic leaders. The University of Notre Dame has introduced a leadership development initiative for select University teaching and research faculty and special professional faculty. The Notre Dame Leaders Program (ND LEAD) seeks to strengthen academic leadership performance across the University through greater self-awareness, a deeper understanding of the University's mission and operations, and growth in complex decision-making and communication skills essential for management.

Using an integrated approach that involves individual study, ND Leadership Insights, classroom instruction, learning triads and discussions, the ND LEAD program will develop academic leaders on campus for a total of seven days (sessions last one or two days) across a nine month span. We expect to seat between 12 and 16 participants in the inaugural LEAD class, which begins in August 2011 and concludes in May 2012.
